Dr. Chengfang Liu and Mr. Weiliang Su Presented at the 2014 Chinese Economist Society (CES) Annual Conference in Guangzhou

During June 14-15, 2014, Dr. Chengfang Liu, an associate Professor at CCAP was invited to present at the 2014 Chinese Economist Society (CES) annual conference. The event, carrying a theme of " China’s Economic Reform, Transition and Sustainable Development”, was held on the campus of Jinan University, Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. The conference incorporated a total of four papers from CCAP.During the conference, Dr. Liu talked about the links of intestinal worm infections to cognitive ability, nutrition, and school performance. Meanwhile, Mr. Weiliang Su, a graduate student of CCAP, and Ms Alexis Media, a visiting scholar at CCAP, also presented at various parallel sessions. Their topics include mobile phone text messaging on improving children’s human capital; and the relationship between rural households’ off-farm participation and agricultural assets.
