Call for papers and posters

The Asian Society of Agricultural Economists and the co-organizer, BRAC, invite agricultural economists and other development practitioners, policy makers, academicians, researchers and students to participate in the 8th ASAE Conference to be held in Dhaka, Bangladesh on 15-17 October 2014.

The Conference Program Committee is calling for papers that address various development issues and constraints related to structural change, farms size and productivity of farmers in Asia in the following sub-themes:
• Transformation of Agrarian Structure in Asia
• Farm Size and Productivity Revisited
• Institutional Innovations and Development of Markets for Agricultural Services
• Agricultural Value Chain: Linking Small Farmers to Markets
• Migration, Gender and farming Systems
• Rural Non-farm Economy: Multi-Occupation Strategy for Sustaining Livelihoods
• Lessons from Agricultural Policy Adopted by Japan and South Korea
• Public Policy for Supporting Small Farms

Submission of paper/poster abstract 28 February 2014
Submission of organized parallel session and /or
pre-conference mini symposium abstract 28 February 2014
Notification of paper/poster/parallel session acceptance 31 May 2014
Submission of full paper 31 July 2014
