The results of Professor Wang Jinxia's research team were selected into the "First Public Policy Evaluation Forum"

    On November 28-29, 2022, Management World magazine, School of Government, University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Zhejiang Gongshang University held the "First Public Policy Evaluation Forum" in Beijing, which aims to promote the institutionalization, standardization and programmatic of public policy evaluation. It is in response to the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core, which proposed to attach great importance to scientific decision-making and democratic decision-making, actively promote the modernization of the national governance system and governance capacity, and attach importance to giving play to the role of public policy evaluation in formulating major reform plans and supervising the implementation of major policies. A total of 162 papers were received at the forum, and 12 were selected to participate in the discussion after review. Professor Wang Jinxia's research team's paper "Ecological compensation policy targeting efficiency and its long-term mechanism-Based on groundwater funnel area fallow policy research" is one of the 12 selected papers. The Forum's keynote speech and exchange papers will be published in Management World in the near future.

    This study is mainly based on the doctoral dissertation "The Impact of Seasonal Fallow on Agricultural Production Decision and Groundwater Irrigation in Haihe River Basin" under the supervision of Professor Wang Jinxia. At present, Dr. Guan Baozhu is a postdoctoral fellow at the National Institute of Development of Peking University, and the collaborators include Assistant Professor Chen Huang of Xiamen University, and Dr. Chen Huang's master's thesis advisor is also Professor Wang Jinxia. The data used in the study comes from a large-scale field survey conducted by Professor Wang Jinxia's research team in 4 cities (Cangzhou, Hengshui, Xingtai and Handan), 7 counties, 28 villages and 560 households in the comprehensive treatment area of groundwater overexploitation in Hebei Province in 2019. This research was supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China project "Evaluation of the Comprehensive Treatment Measures for Groundwater Overexploitation in Rural Areas of the Haihe River Basin", the National Natural Science Foundation of China Major International Cooperation Project "Improving the Sustainability of Regional Food-Energy-Water Systems", and the National Key R&D Program "Comprehensive Treatment Strategy and Control Strategy of Groundwater Overextraction".

    "Management World" magazine is an academic journal sponsored by the Development Research Center of the State Council, which actively responds to the decision-making and deployment of the Party Central Committee, cherishes the "great of the country", and attaches importance to the leading role of the journal; This forum has built a high-end platform for the exchange and publication of research results in public policy evaluation. According to the requirements of epidemic prevention and control, this forum was held in a combination of online and offline.
