Prof. Liu Chengfang led a team to Xianghe County, Hebei Province to research

From March 18th to 19th, Prof. Liu Chengfang, Associate Dean of School of Advanced Agriculture, Peking University, and Deputy Director of CCAP, led a group of postdoctoral students, Xie Gang and PhD student Wang Tianyi, to Xianghe County, Hebei Province to conduct research on high-quality development of agriculture and rural areas. Together with Prof. Bai Yu and his team members from Central University for Nationalities, three associate researchers (Bai Yunli, Xu Xiangbo, Sun Mingxing), two assistant researchers (Fu Chao, Li Li) and two PhD students from Institute of Geographic Sciences and Resources of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (IGSR), as well as Associate Prof. Zhao Qiran and two PhD students from China Agricultural University (CAU), the research team went to Xianghe County, Hebei Province to conduct research on the high-quality development of agriculture and rural areas.
On March 18, the research team went to the Central Primary School of Liu Song Town, Xianghe County, and talked with the principal, kindergarten director and classroom teachers successively to understand the basic situation of kindergarten's enrollment, teachers' qualifications, infrastructure, and curriculum, etc. The research team also visited the Central Primary School of Liu Song Town, Xianghe County.
In the morning of March 19, the research team went to Qinggongtai Village in Xianghe County to talk with village cadres and learn about the basic situation of the village, including population, industry and employment, village collective economic organization, land transfer, public infrastructure, grass-roots party building and governance. In the afternoon, the team went into households in groups to understand the basic production and living conditions of different types of local farmers. At the end of the research, the team took advantage of the heat to systematically sort out and summarize the two-day research activities on the spot. The team members all said that they were deeply inspired and learned a lot by talking with principals, teachers, village cadres and villagers, and said that they would respond positively to Premier Li Qiang's call to "ask for the people's advice, ask for the people's needs, learn from the people, worship the people as a teacher, and help the grassroots to solve more practical problems".
