Prof. K.K. Huang led a team to visit and exchange ideas with the School of Management of Hainan University

On the afternoon of June 26, 2023, Professor Huang Jikun, Director of  New Rural Development  Institute (NRDI) Peking University, led a team to visit and exchange ideas with the School of Management of Hainan University, accompanied by Professor Sheng You, Vice President of the NRDI, and Researcher Huang Kaixing of CCAP.

First of all, under the introduction of Gao Diankong, Vice President of Hainan University, Professor Fu Guohua, former Vice President of Hainan University, Xing Guchuan, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Management, Fu Jingtao, Vice President of the School of Management, Zhao Da, Vice President of the School of Management and teachers of the Department of Agricultural and Forestry Economics and Management, both sides talked and exchanged information about the development of the discipline of Agricultural and Forestry Economics and Management and the construction of the specialty. At the meeting, Prof. Huang Jikun gave detailed suggestions on how to achieve internationalization, how to highlight the tropical characteristics, and how to reflect the advantages of discipline development. Vice President Sheng Yu and Researcher Huang Kaixing respectively put forward constructive opinions from the aspects of disciplinary intersection, necessity and young teachers' cultivation. Through in-depth discussions and exchanges, both sides reached a preliminary cooperation intention.

Afterwards, Prof. Huang Jikun was invited to give an academic report on the theme of "Food Security, High-Value Agriculture and Common Wealth" for the teachers and students of the School of Management. More than 50 students and faculty members from the School of Management of Hainan University attended this report.
