The Sixth "Rural Revitalization" Forum Co-hosted by CCAP and Jiangxi Agricultural University Successfully Held

On November 18-19, the Sixth "Rural Revitalization" Forum and "Food Security and the Construction of a Strong Agricultural Country" Academic Symposium was grandly held in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province. The forum, themed "food security and the construction of a strong agricultural country", was hosted by the CCAP Peking University, the Jiangxi Rural Revitalization Strategy Research Institute of Jiangxi Agricultural University, the School of Economics and Management of Jiangxi Agricultural University, and the Jiangxi Collaborative Innovation Center for Decision-making Support for Sustainable Development of Modern Agriculture and its Advantageous Industries, Jiangxi Agricultural University, "Three Rural Issues" Research Center, Journal of Huazhong Agricultural University (Social Science Edition), Research on Agricultural Modernization, Contemporary Finance and Economics, Journal of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, Journal of Jiangsu University (Social Science Edition), Journal of Agricultural and Forestry Economics and Management, Poyang Valley Agricultural Science and Technology Co. Ruiqi Futures Co. Professor Huang Jikun, Honorary Director of CCAP Peking University, President of  New Rural Development Institute Peking University, President of Jiangxi Agricultural University Rural Revitalization Strategy Research Institute, Professor He Haohua, member of the Party Committee and Vice President of Jiangxi Agricultural University attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech, and Chi Zexin, Secretary of the Party Committee of Jiangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences, attended the forum. From Peking University, Renmin University of China, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, China Agricultural University, Huazhong Agricultural University, Nanchang University, Nanjing Agricultural University, Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics and other institutions of higher learning, research institutes and enterprises and institutions of more than 50 invited experts, representatives of journals, the authors of the paper on behalf of the Institute of Rural Revitalization Strategies, College of Economics and Management teacher and student representatives and so on a total of more than 260 people attended the meeting. Professor Huang Jikun congratulated on the convening of this forum. He pointed out that in the context of General Secretary Xi Jinping's recent visit to Jiangxi Province, where he put forward the requirements of "strengthening the pace of modernization of agriculture and rural areas, and accelerating the construction of a strong agricultural country", this forum on food security and the construction of a strong agricultural country is of great practical significance. Since the new period, CCAP Peking University has made great contributions to China's agricultural economic research and planning, talent training, etc., but also in the international platform of important think tanks to make China's voice, contribute to China's wisdom, and get the affirmation of the domestic and international academic community. Jiangxi Institute of Rural Revitalization Strategy, as a high-end think tank platform jointly created by Jiangxi Agricultural University and Peking University, has always been moving forward towards the goal of contributing to the country's comprehensive promotion of rural revitalization and the construction of a strong agricultural country, and has developed into an important research platform in the field of the "Three Rural Issues" in Jiangxi Province. We hope that this forum can strengthen the cooperation and communication between experts and scholars, share academic achievements, contribute wisdom and strength to promote the development of high-quality and efficient agriculture and the construction of beautiful countryside, and jointly write a colorful chapter of agricultural and rural reform and development!

In the main forum, Wang Jinxia, Director of CCAP Peking University and Boya Distinguished Professor of  School of Advanced Agriculture of Peking University, hosted the keynote report. Prof. Liu Chengfang, deputy director of CCAP Peking University and vice dean of School of Advanced  Agriculture of Peking University, delivered a keynote report on the topic of "Adhering to the Underlying Colors of Agricultural Economy, Enhancing the Characteristics of Applied Economy, and Keeping the Righteousness and Innovation to Serve the Construction of Strong Agricultural Nation". In the sub-forum of "Information Technology and Female Empowerment in Poverty-stricken Areas", researcher Wang Xiaobing of CCAP Peking University made a report titled "Poverty Eradication, Cultural Inheritance and Female Empowerment", and researcher Huang Kaixing of CCAP Peking University made a review of the report as a commentator. Researcher Huang Kaixing ofCCAP Peking University commented on the reports of this sub-forum as a reviewer. In the sub-forum on "Rural Technology Promotion and Technology Economy" and "Organic Fertilizer Use by Farmers and Arable Land Protection", Associate Professor Hou Lingling of CCAP Peking University and Researcher Wang Yue of CCAP eking University commented on the sub-forum reports as reviewers respectively. The reviewers commented on the reports of the sub-forum. In addition, in the special session of "Production and Ecological Management and Socialized Service", Dr. Hu Wen of CCAP Peking University commented on the special session reports as a reviewer.
