Dean Liu Chunming and Prof. Huang Jikun of School of Advanced Agriculture of Peking University attended Tengchong Scientists' Forum "Scientists + Entrepreneurs" Dialogue on Innovation and Cooperation

Tengchong Scientists Forum 2023, with the theme of "Science and Green Development", was held in Tengchong, Yunnan Province on December 1-3, gathering more than 100 academicians, more than 20 presidents of world-renowned universities, more than 500 experts and scholars from home and abroad, as well as more than 300 persons in charge of enterprises and financial institutions.

The "Scientists + Entrepreneurs" Innovation and Cooperation Dialogue is the flagship activity under the "Biodiversity and Modern Agriculture Development Forum", aiming at discussing the development experience in the field of modern agriculture and rural revitalization, breaking through the barriers between science and technology and industry, deploying innovation chain and constructing industry chain around the industry chain, and building the industry chain around the innovation chain, in order to promote the development of modern agriculture and rural revitalization. The dialogue will be co-chaired by Prof. Liu Chunming and Prof. Sheng Jun, and representatives of entrepreneurs such as Zhao Yarong, Senior Vice President of Dabei Nong Group, Liu Hui, Chairman of Kenfeng Seed Industry, and Zhang Qin, Chairman of Tsuen-Yin Seed Industry, and representatives of scientists, such as Zhu Health, Academician of the American Academy of Sciences, Huang Ji-Kun, Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Developing World, and Jing Haichun, researcher of Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences, attended the Dialogue. After the entrepreneurs and scientists fully interactive exchanges, academician Xu Zhihong made a final summary statement, further emphasizing the importance of innovative cooperation and dialogue between scientists and entrepreneurs.

Prof. Huang Jikun held in-depth discussions with the participating scientists and entrepreneurs on topics such as China's agricultural science and technology and development policies, farmers' well-being, and green and sustainable development of agriculture, and carried out in-depth interactive exchanges with the guests on the spot. This dialog has built a bridge to promote cooperation between scientific research and industry, and provided a useful platform for promoting scientific and technological innovation and sustainable development in the field of agriculture in China.
