Recently, Professor Xiaobing Wang, School of Advanced Agricultural Sciences at Peking University, was invited to serve as an associate editor for the prestigious international journal Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization. This appointment follows her role as an editorial board member for the authoritative international agricultural economics journal Applied Economic Perspectives and Policy, marking another significant contribution to leading international journals in the field of economic management.
Established in 1980, the Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization is a top-tier journal in behavioral economics. It focuses on economic decision-making, organization, behavior, and economic change, aiming to enhance the understanding of how human cognition, digital and informational characteristics influence the operation of economic organizations and market economies. The journal also explores the evolution of economic systems and its implications for various micro and macro behaviors, development, and organizational patterns. Additionally, it emphasizes interdisciplinary research at the intersection of economics and fields such as psychology, law, anthropology, sociology, and finance.
Xiaobing Wang is currently a tenured professor and doctoral supervisor at School of Advanced Agricultural Sciences, Peking University, as well as a researcher at the China Center for Agricultural Policy,PKU. She serves as a member of the Agricultural and Rural Committee of the 16th Central Committee of the China Zhi Gong Party. Her research focuses on agricultural science and technology development, food security, and poverty alleviation.
Her work has been published in leading academic journals such as the American Journal of Agricultural Economics, Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization, World Development, Economic Development and Cultural Change, Global Food Security, and China Rural Economy.
